Sightseeing Today

We got up early and took a 3 hour boat ride down the Lijiang (Li) River - one of the major rivers in China. It was beautiful. Many mountains, waterfalls, villages, fishermen, and water buffalo. Our new tour guide and translator for Guilin is Jenny. Her English is very good. She is also a model and very pretty. I love her accent.

A very unique way of fishing.....at least by our standards.

Heading back to the hotel after a long day at sea. We had a chance to talk to and get to know a number of people in our group. Of course, everyone thinks they got the best baby in China. We know the truth......we got the BEST!!!

Abby really started to come to life today. She is much more active and less afraid. She has more smiles. She's the best baby in China. Did I mention the prettiest too?

We went out to dinner at a Chinese restaurant. It was served family style so they put many dishes on our turn-style table. They do not remove the bones from the fish - watch out. I believe one person even got a little choked. They did not put serving spoons in each dish so you used your own fork, that you had already eaten from, to serve yourself. They only served about 6 ounces of beer or Sprite. I requested water - it was a big deal. Then I got tap water. I hope I survive. They served duck head, snails, and who knows what else. Steph and I (and others) had a hard time filling our bellies. Better luck tomorrow.

Stephie still had some energy to burn off. I'm glad this is Al's bed.
